Tomorrow TIFF will release the full schedule for TIFF09 and we’re getting everything prepared for the real launch of tiffr.com. We had a soft launch about ten days ago to garner feedback from friends and interested users and we’ve taken all of that information, put it in the feature matrix, and churned out fixes and features that will make tiffr easier to use and more kick ass than ever.
Barcodes
As I alluded to in the last post, we’ve added the barcodes for each screening to the final schedule so, in theory, you could just hand in your tiffr.com schedule to TIFF with all of your film selections. I say in theory because we’re still working on getting approval for this from TIFF. If you want to be able to do that, let us (and them) know!
Interface upgrades and bug fixes
We’ve also implemented a lot of interface upgrades to make the site look and feel better, workflow changes to make it easier to get around and bug fixes so that nothing gets in the way of your scheduling.
Planned awesomeness!
We also have plans to add some amazing time-saving features before the fest starts, notably a Rush Ticket Status page that, based on tweets through Twitter, will be a live report of which tickets are still available and which ones are sold out! We’re also going to turn on a feature that will send a tweet to your Twitter account within 15 minutes of the start of each screening you schedule!
We’re pretty excited about the site and we hope our hard work will save you some time!
